Choose the approximate floor area below to see suitable wall-mounted or commercial split air-conditioning options. These ranges are a starting point for normal UK rooms; glazing, ceiling height, insulation, equipment and occupancy can increase the required duty.
Small room — up to 20 m²
Bedrooms, home offices, treatment rooms and small retail areas. Start with 2.5–2.7 kW.
Medium room — 20 to 30 m²
Living rooms, larger bedrooms, offices and small shops. Start with 3.2–3.5 kW.

Large room — 30 to 45 m²
Large lounges, open-plan offices, salons and shops. Start with 4.5–5.0 kW.

Large open or commercial area — 40 to 55 m²
Busy shops, restaurants and open commercial areas. A ceiling-suspended system is normally the better starting point.
Over 55 m² or multiple rooms
A proper heat-load assessment is needed. Request a system quotation for multi-split or commercial options.
F-Gas requirement: Split air-conditioning systems must be installed by an F-Gas registered engineer. Installer details are verified before sale. Final selection must be confirmed from the room heat load, pipe run and installation conditions.
