Controller compatibility & installation
Match the full probe reference and resistance/temperature characteristic to the controller input. NTC and PTC probes are not interchangeable. Configure the controller for the correct probe type, route sensor wiring away from power wiring and check the displayed temperature against a reference after fitting. The stated IP rating applies only within the manufacturer’s installation conditions; it does not make cable joints waterproof. The 230V statement concerns insulation suitability, not a mains power supply: never connect this passive sensor directly to the mains.
