Description

KD TD020M-ED evaporator

Cubic draw-through cooler for an engineer-selected cold room system. Range image is representative.

Cooling performance and rating conditions

Published R449A reference duty: 1982 W at 0°C room temperature and DT1 = 8K. Freezer reference duty: 1268 W at −18°C room and DT1 = 7K, R449A. DT1 is the air-on to refrigerant evaporating temperature difference. These figures are cooling duties, not electrical consumption. Re-select for the actual refrigerant, room load and operating conditions.

Technical specification

Separately required / select for the installation

Externally equalised thermostatic expansion valve, suitable refrigerant and orifice selection, and the required distributor connection. Also select condensing unit, controller and probes, liquid solenoid/coil where required, insulated pipework, mounting supports and drain connection. Drain heater and insulation requirements depend on room temperature and installation; confirm provision before ordering.

Engineer setup checklist

Allow service and airflow clearances, support the full operating load and provide a correctly trapped and sloped drain as specified by the manufacturer. Check TXV bulb/equaliser positioning, fan rotation, electrical protection and defrost circuit wiring. Set defrost timing, termination, drip time, fan delay and superheat for the actual application using the supplied equipment instructions; verify drainage and temperature recovery during commissioning.
